Emma Hedrick has 7 Downbeat Student Music Awards and placed 3rd in the International Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Competition. Emma has also performed across the U.S. in festivals like Indy Jazz Fest, Elkhart Jazz Festival, St. Petersburg Jazz Festival and Telluride Jazz Festival. This summer she was a vocalist for the Jong Metropole Summer 2023 European tour. The quintet recently performed at Koorenhuis opening for Nefertitti and is performing next at the Voorschoten Cultural Center as a part of their monthly jazz concert series.

The repertoire of the band includes Emma’s original music with a few rearrangements of jazz standards mixed in. Emma Hedrick's music is rooted in the harmony and style of jazz tradition blended with attentiveness to lyric and melody from the singer-songwriter genre. The rearranged standards are old favorites with a fresh, new take in the delivery. Emma aspires to take her audiences through the story of each song she sings. Adding to this, each individual member of the band brings their own unique perspective to the music resulting in a live dynamic collaboration. The audience can expect vivid imagery within every song, unique original music, and an overall engaging show.
